Users can go to the table view and click a button "Export to .csv" that will extract the user's data into a spreadsheet downloaded on the user's downloads.
The export will include:
- Step ID
- Step Name
- Step Status
- Step Method
- Step Type
- Section

- Notes

This export enables users to retain their data after building in Puzzle's visual builder.

Hi all—Yoshino here, working in management consultancy field.
This type of structured export is not just a “nice-to-have,” but a critical capability for us to continue using Puzzle effectively. It allows us to move beyond visual mapping into systematic analysis of internal processes, especially when we need to:
- Quantify operational complexity (e.g., duration, frequency, dependencies)
- Identify bottlenecks and optimization levers at scale
- Integrate Puzzle outputs into downstream analytics workflows and models
In short, exports like this are essential for turning Puzzle from a mapping tool into a decision-support system. They enable us to deep-dive into existing processes after implementation, validate assumptions, and continuously refine operational strategies.
Would definitely value seeing this capability created soon!
